  • Ernst & Young fined $100 million for ethics violations

    Ernst & Young (E&Y), the consulting company hired by the Gallaudet administration to perform the 2021 analysis of faculty salaries which the AAUP showed to be poorly done, has been fined $100 million by the Securities and Exchange Commission for cheating on tests required to maintain their licenses.

    The new Gallaudet Chapter of the AAUP has been asking for merit increases. That’s been our top priority since we became an officially recognized chapter less than a year ago. We’re not letting down on this goal until we achieve reasonable pay parity with other institutions.
